The UK government sometimes get a hard ride for being harsh on motorists. It’s common knowledge, however that some of the people propping up the benches in Parliament are actually classic car owners and enthusiasts.
So, with at least one high profile policy maker fighting the corner of classic motorists, the rolling classic tax exemption policy has so far survived at 40 years, MOTs have been scrapped for pre-1960 vehicles, and they’ve even been good enough to compile a list of classic vehicle owners clubs on their websitep.
They’re not all bad, then – don’t forget to email the government and tell them how much these policies inspired your vote, will you!
